The 36th International Small Business Congress (ISBC)

The 36th International Small Business Congress (ISBC) will be held in Taiwan from October 4 to 7, 2010.

The ISBC brings together policy-makers and practitioners in the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector from around the world, to exchange views, brainstorm solutions, and help SMEs to achieve sustainable development. Through these activities, the ISBC has contributed greatly to the world economy.

During the past decades, SMEs have been a major driving force behind Taiwan's rapid economic growth due to their flexible operations, efficient production, dedication to innovation, and ambition in market exploration. Their entrepreneurial spirit has also enabled them to secure niches in rapidly changing markets.

As one of the fastest growing economies in the Asia-Pacific region and two-time ISBC host (in 1985, 1997), Taiwan is an ideal venue for the ISBC. The congress will be a highly successful and productive gathering.
